Gabriel Bietz, MD, is a highly regarded, board-certified vascular surgeon specializing in endovascular surgery using minimally invasive techniques for peripheral vascular disease. He has advanced training in peripheral vascular intervention, including critical limb ischemia for both venous and arterial disease. He is a specialist in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease, including atherectomy and stenting, and specializes in the treatment of chronic, totally occluded arteries.
Additionally, Dr. Bietz is actively involved in clinical research and clinical education, helping other physicians learn new and advanced techniques. He was also on the Advisor Board for Bluegrass Vascular Technologies and has consulted for multiple medical device research companies throughout his career.
Dr. Bietz attended medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons before completing his residency in general Surgery and Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Kentucky, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident. While at the University of Kentucky, he received three resident teaching awards.
Dr. Bietz is board-certified in vascular surgery and general surgery and holds certification as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). During his years of vascular practice, Dr. Bietz has proven to be a patient-focused, experienced vascular surgeon committed to serving the communities of South-Central Texas, including Seguin, New Braunfels, and San Antonio.
